What we collect
We may collect contact details and information you provide when you email us, submit a sponsor enquiry, join our participant community or enquire about a study. Clinical research may also involve health and other sensitive information, but this is collected only through approved study processes after appropriate information and consent.
Why we collect it
We use personal information to respond to enquiries, assess study suitability, communicate about research opportunities, conduct and administer clinical trials, meet ethics and legal obligations, and improve our services. We only use information for the purpose for which it was collected or another permitted purpose.
Research participant information
Each clinical trial has its own participant information and consent document explaining what information is collected, why it is needed, how long it is retained, who may access it and whether de-identified data may be used or disclosed. Those study-specific documents take priority for research participation.
Service providers and disclosure
We may use trusted providers to support email communication, online screening, questionnaires, website hosting, data management and other research operations. These may include Brevo and Alchemer. Information is disclosed only as reasonably required for the relevant service, research activity, ethics oversight or legal obligation.
Overseas processing
Some technology providers may store or process information outside Australia. Where this occurs, we take reasonable steps to select reputable providers and apply appropriate privacy and security safeguards. Study-specific information will describe material overseas disclosures where required.
Security, retention and deletion
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. Information is retained only for as long as required for its purpose and applicable research, legal, contractual and ethics obligations, then securely deleted or de-identified where appropriate.
Email updates and cookies
Participant-community emails are sent only after you choose to subscribe, and every marketing email includes an unsubscribe option. The website may use essential technical storage and limited analytics to maintain performance and understand general usage; we do not ask visitors to provide health information through general website forms.
Access and correction
You may ask to access or correct personal information we hold about you. Contact info@clinicalresearch.com.au. We may need to verify your identity, and limited exceptions may apply under law or research requirements.
